Keith Arnatt had an eclectic practice beginning with installations and acts but also involving photography as a main element; using landscapes, objects and himself as the subject. However, I am most interested in his Notes From Jo (1991-95) - a photographic series of notes from his wife collected over the years that draw attention to small moments and interactions between people. Isolating this notes in a gallery space accelerate their mundanity or humour, the emotions that are communicated through the note.

Arnatt's practice often relates back to his personal surroundings; photograph series shot near his house or even in it, himself being the subject often. These notes cast an insight into his relationship with his wife, his every day activities and interactions; bringing the private into public.
