How can I use digital software to experiment with layers of text and colour?

Using Procreate I tried layering the recent inner monologue piece over a digital statement, at first just removing outside the letters— the inner letters remaining white. I like this ‘accidental’ outcome, imperfect and almost glitchy. I also experimented with rubbing out the text with the swirl pattern I often use. I like the way lang is obscured, difficult to read, the remaining text creating a pattern of its own among the the colour blocks and letters below.
